After reading through the reasons why humans cannot find the meaning of their lives, one might wonder why he has to even bother to pursue for something we cannot achieve. The reason that we constantly look for the meaning of life is that it is possible to acquire a lot of valuable lessons during the process without necessarily finding the answer. As one endeavors to look for the meaning, he will realize as much as about himself as about the purpose for living. Increased self-awareness will not only help one to see that God has created him or her for specific purpose (Proverbs 16:4) but also transforms the individual into a valuable member of society who diligently fulfills his role and even motivate other members to bravely march on their pursuit of meaning in the face of numerous hurdles ahead. The quest for meaning is different from the journey of a pirate to discover hidden treasure in an island. Rather, it is more like swimming in the vast sea, continuous stage of rumination in which a person gains new insights while deeply contemplating over one's identity and responsibility as a citizen of the earth.
